Centennial Week is here!
We are less than five days away from celebrating the Panama Canal Centennial here at the University of Florida! We hope we can see you here celebrating with us this weekend!
This week on the blog we are revisiting some of the history of the Panama Canal from the early days of the Panama Canal Railroad and the attempts of the French, to the technological advancements at the Culebra cut and Gatun Lake, and finally wrap up the week with images of the SS Ancon going through the Panama Canal for the first time 100 years ago.
Keep up with our posts this week as we all celebrate 100 years of the Panama Canal!
